My personal research database has many thousands of entries in it ranging across file types from web archives to Markdown to academic research PDFs to audio and video. I can open pdf as expected in other websites in the Brave browser. The beta version was tested at default settings after installation. Reset the settings in the latest release Browser (1.21.77) but this did not fix the problem.

Made sure that the Brave setting: “Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Brave” was off, which was the default setting. Tested this on both the latest release (1.21.77) and beta(1.22.58) Cannot open pdf in browser directly.īesides having the option to save the pdf, also have the option to open in Brave.
